Privacy policy
Effective 14 September 2026
GhostFix does not collect, store or share any personal data. Your photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded anywhere. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising.
What the app can access
The app works with the photos you choose to give it and nothing else.
- Photos you pick. When you tap Choose Image, iOS shows its own photo picker. The app receives only the photos you select; it never has access to the rest of your library.
- Saving repaired photos. When you tap Save to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add photos to your library. This "add only" permission lets the app write a new image; it does not let the app read, modify or delete anything you already have.
- Photos shared from other apps. If you send photos to GhostFix through the iOS share sheet, they are copied into a private container that only the app can read, then repaired the same way.
What happens to your photos
Detection and repair both run on your device using machine-learning models built into the app. No photo, thumbnail, mask or metadata is sent to us or to anyone else. The app has no server.
Repaired photos are saved as new images. Your originals are left untouched. Photos you import into the app stay on your device until you delete them from the app.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising software and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are, how often you use the app or which photos you repair.
Network use
The app makes no network requests of its own. The only network activity related to the app is Apple's own system service delivering updated detection models to the app in the background. Those downloads are handled by iOS, go to Apple's servers, and carry no information about you or your photos beyond what Apple's standard system services already handle under Apple's privacy policy.
Children
Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts collecting data, this page will change first and the app's App Store listing will be updated to match. The effective date at the top tells you when the policy was last revised.
